The commission fee for Marilyn creating portraits starts at $400.00. This covers multiple poses and multiple people in the portraits such as a family, the children individually, the children together and the parents together. The
commission is the same whether for color, black and white or watercolors.
The portraits themselves are priced separately.
Artists commonly use commission fees to pay for their time creating the art, designing the portrait order with you and completing the order. This fee is the commission and does not include any prints. The fee is due before photography is done and can be paid by credit card, check or cash. When your appointment is confirmed you will be asked for a credit card or if payment is by check or cash, it can be made the day of photography. All of Marilyn's Fine Art Portrait Designs can be created from Color film. This includes the watercolors, handcolored black and white prints, sepia tone prints and more. If you are interested only in Archival Fiber Black and White prints then Black and White film is recommended. Marilyn herself will be returning to meet with you and design your order. This is one to two weeks after your session. If you are on a time frame for a gift or you are leaving town, you must allow yourself plenty of time to photograph, order and at least three to four weeks for the order to be completed depending on what effects you have purchased. The Portrait Design line of watercolor prints takes six to eight weeks (sometimes longer) to complete. Please read Marilyn's biography that tells you more About Marilyn and How to Plan for a Beautiful Portrait. |
